The Daily Acca: Arsenal to take the points at Vicarage Road

No homecoming party for returning Flores

Bet 1: Back Arsenal @ 1/1 – KO 16:30 BST

Quique Sánchez Flores returned to Vicarage Road over the international break, and with Watford sitting bottom of the league with just one point, he will be keen to get some wins on the board sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately for him, Arsenal are in town this afternoon, and they are just too big not to back at even money. The Gunners have only been beaten by Liverpool this term, and Unai Emery’s men played well for the most part of that game.

They won at Newcastle on the opening weekend – keeping a clean sheet too – and they should have too much firepower for a Hornets side who have scored only twice this season.

Serie A new-boys to avoid defeat

Bet 2: Back Verona +1 Goal @ 6/5 – KO 19:45 BST

AC Milan are the odds-on favourite to win at Hellas Verona this evening, but I think that the hosts will frustrate them.

Following their promotion from Serie B, the Yellow and Blues are unbeaten after two games. A 1-1 draw at home to Bologna was followed by a 1-0 success at Lecce, and while this is a further step-up, confidence is clearly still high.

Marco Giampaolo is now in charge at the San Siro, but his team were beaten at Udinese in their season opener, before edging out Brescia by a goal to nil a fortnight ago. They could be vulnerable for win purposes tonight.

More goals for Betis

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Betis v Getafe @ 19/20 – KO 20:00 BST

It’s all about goals in La Liga this evening, as I can’t see there being a clean sheet for either team when Real Betis take on Getafe.

The hosts have played three times so far this year, and all three outings have seen this selection land. Both of their home games finished 2-1 (one for and against), and they were also beaten 5-2 at the Nou Camp.

Last year’s fifth place finishers, Getafe, opened up with a 1-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid, but since then BTTS backers would have collected as they drew 1-1 with Athletic Club and Deportivo Alaves.
